Morandi Dreams
The series Morandi Dreams pays homage to Italian still life painter Giorgio Morandi (1890-1964). Each is in a diptych format (2 separate canvases joined together to create one work of art) and can be viewed almost as an open book. In each the formal structure of a still life is juxtaposed with emotions, ranging from contemplation to rage, in the faces. With colors ranging from muted to vivid each painting has a unique feeling.
These paintings have been included in numerous exhibitions aorund the country and have won several awards.
